Description |
Hey I'm Jack, I'm 29 years old!
Located in North East England , Durham / Bishop Auckland area!
I play Guitar (acoustic, rhythm and lead), Ukulele, Drums, Bass and Keyboards. (To various degrees)
Im most confident on the Guitar, Drums or Ukulele !
(I also teach a little bit of basics on each instrument on the side! ~ I always learn the most myself when I am teaching a new person to play ~ it really relights the fire in me).
I have been in a few bands, starting from when I was 13, raised a lot of money for charity with music
However, I haven't played in any in a fair few years so would really like to get back into it!
Currently trying to finish building a home music studio, other goals include starting a small busking group and possibly getting back into gigging!
Would be awesome to find some fellow musicians to do some recording work with also!
Peace out! |
Instruments Played |
Banjo, Drums, Guitar Acoustic, Guitar Bass, Guitar Lead, Guitar Rhythm, Keyboard, Other, Piano, Synthesisers, Ukulele |
Influences |
I'm into all kinds of music, and tend to play different genres on different instruments!
. I like a lot of classic rock (especially on guitar and drums)
. I like the blues (it's the roots the rest is the fruits ;D)
. I like alternative rock/punk-rock/pop-punk etc
. I like rock / metal / grunge / emo
. I like making electronic music and messing around with synthesisers
. I like making goofy ukulele covers of other types of genre songs
So my influences are far and wide (: |
Equipment List |
I have a few amps;
. a large gigging peavy amp I use for Guitar.
. bass amp
. Drumming Roland amp (electric kit)
I have an electronic drumming kit, a Roland tk-11
I also have a small mixing desk for gigging, but no PA speakers, nor any monitors
I have some electronic synths and other modules
And lastly, beyond various instruments, I have equipment relating to recording and producing music, via a PC, using either FL Studio, Pro Tools or Ableton (im mainly using FL for now).
I also have a few different kinds of looper/fx pedals
So I mainly use boss pedals (I've heard of their shortcomings but for the price point they are perfect for me)
My favourite atm being the Boss GT-100, which I partner with other pedals, especially for overdrive etc
Its a work in progress, still requiring, monitors, PA speakers, a mixing desk (non digital), and subwoofer to pair to the PC.
But pretty much complete.
I also have some lighting equipment including lasers, strobes, uv, smoke machines and a DMX mixer (like a sound mixer but for lighting instead)
The last of this being for gigging environments, but the most of what I've got is for production and recording music, without having to go to a professional music studio (which I have done before, and still makes sense to do for a final product, but is too expensive for producing 'demos' etc.)
Thats about it, I don't have much $ but what I have had I've invested entirely into music
I've had a few setbacks, including my last 'almost completed home music studio' was completely smashed and vandalised.
But I've clawed and earned my way back slowly and will continue to.
So I'm closer and happier than ever before! (: enjoying playing but also teaching others music! Hopefully for a long-long time!
