Looking to form a group of 4 or 5 ladies to create a girl group covers band.
Mostly pop but we can mix in some other genres that fit a party-type gig setting. I'm talking Little Mix, Girls Aloud, Spice Girls, The Saturdays, Destiny's Child, but also going back to Abba, Bananarama... essentially whatever makes us happy to perform and will give a crowd a great night.
You need to be able to harmonise with other vocalists and learn some basic dance routines. Experience gigging would be great but the right attitude / charisma and ability to harmonise (even if you don't want to take lead) is more important.
There won't be big pressure to do hundreds of gigs - 1 or 2 per month around our own working / family lives but it's a great opportunity to just get out there and do what you love. We also won't be 'gig ready' for a fair few months yet. This is a clean slate / new band so we'll need to put together and rehearse lots of tracks - so you need to love the process too of meeting similar people and trying stuff out to find what works.
Rehearsals will be Southampton based. |
