Drummer looking for a laid back, fun band (Brighton & surrounding areas)
Mid 30s, based in Burgess Hill, with transport. Played in a few mildly successful bands throughout my 20s with limited indie releases/radio play/ BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale sessions/XFM sessions/festival circuits/tours - can share recordings. A little out of practice but keen to get back into it. Self-taught, with a Ramones/Black Lips-style - think bubblegum punk, garage, simple, raw, and retro.
Looking for a band that rehearses roughly once a week (Friday-Sunday works best) and gigs about once a month - just for fun, no illusions of ‘making it,’ just good times in bars and venues around London and Brighton, maybe occasionally further afield. I’ve got a 4 day week job as a graphic designer in a music-oriented development in Kings X, but I’m motivated and happy to put in the effort on my days off.
I’ve also got a partly working Vox Continental organ in my attic (think The Doors, ? and the Mysterians). If someone in the band wants to play it, I’d be willing to get it restored properly! |
