Hi all,
I'm an experienced guitarist of 20 years, with 5 years performance/touring experience, and 10+ years of recording and producing experience.
I wrote, recorded and toured for a band in the Bristol area between 2011 to 2017, playing supporting slots for bands like Fleshgod Apocalypse & Mac Sabbath, as well as performing at Bloodstock festival 2016 on the New Blood stage.
For various reasons, I parted ways with the band as they became mostly inactive around mid 2017 and returned home to Cornwall, after 7 years living in Bristol (I now work making video games about Warhammer)
Seven or so years since the last band, I'm looking to start a new band, now that i'm a bit older (34yo) wiser and less romantic/nieve about 'rockstar' life and having to go to the toilet in the tour van...
The band would primarily exist to write some songs and play metal clubs, bars and venues around the southwest, and possibly the rest of the UK. If it got bigger than that, then cool! But i'm not expecting/counting on it like I was in my teens and 20s.
I'm looking for talented, accomplished musicians without much ego or drama to jam with, figure out some material and play some shows. Ideally from the mid 20s to late 30s age range, with their own gear and lives in order...
I'm a metal guitarist, rooted mostly in old school thrash and 90s styles, with a love of Pantera style groove. My favourites are varied, from Rammstein and Rob Zombie to Exodus and Power Trip - I've dabbled across various projects in just about every style, and am a fan of bands in almost every metal subgenre. I'm a big fan of spooky stuff, and like bands with a strong theme.
I have a car, and can drive to gigs/practice, provide lifts etc. (hence setting my area to Cornwall/Devon)
