Influences |
Taichi’s drumming style is shaped by a blend of jazz legends and contemporary solo percussion works. Drawing inspiration from iconic drummers like Vinnie Colaiuta, Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, and Max Roach, his playing merges technical mastery with dynamic musicality. His jazz influences shine through in his rhythmic complexity and improvisational approach.
In addition, Taichi is deeply influenced by the solo snare drum repertoire, particularly Zikovic's Pezzo Da Concerto and Cangelossi's Meditation No.1. These works have contributed to his precision, attention to detail, and ability to create powerful, expressive performances on the drums. This combination of jazz tradition and modern percussion techniques defines his distinctive drumming style.
