I am an experienced (55yo) and versatile vocalist with range and power, looking to join or create a band based in South East Kent
(ie East of Ashford and South of Herne Bay).
I have fronted several bands over 12 years and formed a classic rock band which gigged frequently until it reached a natural end, 3 years ago. Since then I have been out as a solo vocalist to backing tracks and have tried several bands, all of which didnt quite suit me.
I am looking to start a band that plays energetic rock, pop, 70's and 80's covers (with maybe a few from other decades).
To give an idea think along the lines of The Cars, The Motors, 38 Special, Huey Lewis, The Hooters, John Mellencamp, Glass Tiger, Wang Chung, Jags, Cheap Trick.
I am hoping there are some like minded musicians out there that want to play well known tracks that don't get played often on the pub circuit but will get people moving. I prefer to stay away from the well beaten track consisting of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Adams, Commitments etc but if push came to shove........ |
