I am 67 and live in Glossop, Derbyshire. I have been around for a while now playing in various bands. Now I am looking to play the music I played when I first started in the 60's, namely songs by Cliff Richard circa 50's - 80's. So I am hoping to get together with one or two people - male or female, any age - who can play acoustic guitar, bass or keyboards and can sing. I can sing lead, harmony and backing vocals. I play drums, percussion and harmonica. I would prefer to play acoustically, so would probably play hand drums rather than full kit. I would like to practise maybe once a week and possibly eventually gig perhaps once a month or so. Doesn't have to be just Cliff, could be other similar singers too. Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Beatles, Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, America, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Eagles, mainly 60's, 70's. I currently play in 3 - piece band playing covers of, well anything melodic .Whilst I am happy singing harmonies, I feel that now is the time for me to return to my original stuff. I have never had the chance to sing any Cliff songs and would really like to give it a try before it is too late, as none of my musician friends share my liking for his music.
