It has been said that a gentleman is someone who knows how to play the banjo and doesn’t. Well, if this is the case, a gentleman I am not.
If you feel your music has become too polished, classy, and lacking a certain je ne sais quoi that screams of boot leg liquor and dangers lurking in the swamp, then please get in touch!
I am a 27-year-old clawhammer player based in Croydon who is looking for people to play with.
My experience so far has mostly been bluegrass and old-time music, but I am eager to try my hand at more. I am an intermediate player and currently part of a bluegrass inspired band. We have played at pubs, folk clubs, and a couple of the fringe stages at Fairport’s Cropredy convention. The band website can be found at: http://folknroll.net/.
Although I live in Croydon, I’m willing to travel and have all my own gear (dungarees pending) with the facility to play amplified.
I’d love to connect with other musicians, whether that be for a casual jam or something more structured so please drop me a line if you’re interested.
P.S. I also have some experience with guitar and have dabbled in tin whistle and English concertina.
