13 years with the same vocalist, we are now looking for a new female singer with a deep, powerful voice - somewhere between Beth Hart and Janis Joplin! We are four mature musicians who have been playing semi-professionally all our adult lives, including gigs at Guilfest, Stevenage Red Oktober Fest, Ealing Blues Fest, Chichester Blues Fest, Ronnie Scott’s, 100 Club, Charlotte Street Blues and many others. With a musical pedigree stretching back to the 1970’s and touring, playing and recording separately with artists such as The Strawbs, Maggie Bell, Barbara Dixon, George Michael, Mike Batt among many, many others. We write our own lyrics set to music that has inspired critics to write about how 3am 'defines what the Blues is all about', and sets mix these new songs in with subtle re-arrangements of classic songs from the likes of Peter Green, Fleetwood Mac, Primal Scream, Portishead, Etta James, Vinegar Joe and many others.
We're based in West London, and as we rehearse in a studio in Acton about once a week, band members need to be in easy travel distance of that and have their own transport.
We usually play about three gigs per month post-Covid. Currently very few booked so far this year while we search for a new female singer and a full-time drummer. |
